electro-music sampler album art

The cover was made completely in Gimp, using a background photograph that I took, a foreground photograph taken by an electro-music participant named Michael Victor, and added text and layers. Click thumb at right for large image (opens in new window).

The disc itself was made using Gimp and CorelDraw. A photograph I took in a subway station was made grayscale in Gimp, and then vectorized in CorelTrace and imported into CorelDraw for cleanup. The background image was then re-exported to Gimp and text was added. Click thumb at right for large image (opens in new window).

The traycard was made all in Gimp, from a photo I took. The photo wasn't blurred in postprocessing, it was actually like that when I took it. I used a DSLR on long exposure out the window of a car on the freeway at night. The lightning streak is another car's headlights, I think.
