Interested in Japan and its culture I have travelled as a student throughout the main island and briefly in Kyushu.  Though my journeys are never complete enough to say that I have "completed" my study of Japan I have found many interesting places, ways of travel, and restaurants that may be helpful to one going to Japan themselves.  I live an impossible dream.  Many fellow students or japanophiles get burnt out after studying for too long.  They complain about Japan's inadequacies, and yes those do exist.  On the other hand, it is important to realize these inadequacies and to do something about them if it so interests you. But I digress.  The purpose of this page is to look at these different routes or trips that I have taken, and enjoy them.  I have no pictures (thanks to some jerks in Montreal), but will supplement these with maps and descriptions.
